We are located in beautiful Emory Texas, just an hour North of Tyler. We are situated on 76 acres of scenic pastureland with ancient oak trees, ponds and a babbling brook. Everywhere you look, there is a friendly fluffy-footed face. Our babies are part of our family and used to daily handling, hugs, and kisses. Our mares were all imported from England and even though they haven't had much handling in their lives, they are all friendly and tractable. They've been referred to as "Golden Retrievers with Hooves" which isn't far from the truth! If you've never met a Gypsy Horse, you are missing out on a real treat.

Drop a line or give a call, we love visitors and would enjoy introducing you to the adorable Gypsy Horse. School and Club groups Welcome and Encouraged.

What in theWorld is a Gypsy Horse?
Gypsy horses are a small draft horse from England and Ireland. They were developed by the travelling Gypsy People for use as wagon and family horses. They had to be quiet and calm on roadways and in the public markets. They had to be gentle as they were often handled by the children as their parents went to market. Because the Gypsy People didn't own property, the horses were kept staked out by the side of the road at night. They have abundant mane, tail, and feather and are often pinto coloured. They, of course, also come in all the solid colours of the rainbow. There are even Gypsy Horses in appaloosa patterns! They are hardy and easy keepers with large, tough hooves. They have small, tidy heads with expressive curved ears and are most definitely drafty. They are unlike any other horses you've ever been around. Come and see them for yourselves!

What can you do with a Gypsy Horse?
Gypsy Horses appeal to families because of their kind and predictable temperaments, their ideal size (12.2h to 15.3h), and profound beauty. These horses, while not large, are sturdy and hardy. They can handle any mountain trail with style. At the same time, they are elegant movers and excel in Dressage, English Riding, Driving and jumping. They are absolutely beautiful carriage horses and turn every head as parade horses. They are fast learners and really want to please. These horses were tailor-made for pony clubbing!
